Have you start shopping for your CNY clothes?

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, have you start shopping for your Chinese new year clothes? Well, I have not and probably do not plan to, but guess what? FL already started to shop for his clothes. The difference between him and me is that, I buy clothes wherever I go shopping where else he only buy when it is near the Chinese New Year. He is looking for mens outdoor clothing and not those working outfits.

Short distance but it took forever to reach!

One thing that I hate after changing to this new comp is that, it is super duper jam here. The distance is actually almost the same like my prev comp, but the time taken to reach office, or to reach home is double or even triple longer!

I just got out of office the other day and stuck in the jam in front of my office. FL called when I just got into my car. I told him I am about to leave. 30 minutes later, he called me to ask where I am, and I told him, I am still in front of the OFFICE!

argg…so frustrating..Can i just work from home???

What did you get for yourself?

We were chatting about this topic during lunch hour. When we just got out from work, what did we buy when we first got our salary?

Some said a car, some said some pretty dresses, some said they treated their parents a nice meal and some even said they bought themselves cheap liability insurance.

I do not remember what did I get for myself when I first got my salary. What about you?

Unique Beads

Sarah wore a brand new necklace to work today. The necklace was so beautiful and unique that when the moment she walked in, the necklace caught everyone’s attention.

Sarah told us it was a birthday gift from her brother and it was made of Moukaite Jasper Beads. It is very unique and elegant!

All the girls asked her to check with her brother where he bought it.

Surprised birthday gift!

Everyone knows David’s youngest brother is very much in love with music. When he was small, he learned piano. When he grew older, he learned violin and recently I heard he is learning guitar!

Due to his passion towards music, David decided to get him numark mixtrack pro guitar center for his birthday in July. I bet he will be thrilled when he received the birthday gift!

God blessed

This morning, we heard from David that his father was diagnosed with mesothelioma. We were quite shocked and the first question that all of us asked him was, what is mesothelioma?

He wasn’t really in the mood to explain to us, therefore we decided to google to find out what is mesothelioma. Hopefully the father can recover real soon.

Uniforms

We are going to have our annual company dinner soon. We need to dress in uniforms for the annual dinner. Ever since the memo is out, everyone is discussing about what to wear for the annual dinner during lunch.

I still haven’t decided what to wear for the dinner but Susan told me she will be getting nursing uniforms online. Cool! Can I be the doctor then?

She got the rates!

During a conversation with Sandy, she told me she needs to call the company to check on the annuity rates tomorrow. Why tomorrow? Because now office hour is over and she needs to wait till the morning. I told her she probably can get the rates online, why don’t she try to search on the Internet?

Even she can’t get rates on the websites, she probably can just send them an email to get the rates. After a few clicks, she got the rates! Cool!

Within 2 minutes!

David was telling me it was how easy to find something on the Internet when Sally walked in. She interupted our conversation and asked us whether we have any idea where to find tv mounting brackets. She needs a few and she has been looking everywhere but can’t find it at the local stores.

Immediately David launched the browser and start searching for her, and guess what? In less than 2 minutes, Sally got the address of the seller! Oh wow!! Amazing!

Ok, I’m just SAYING i will help, not really gonna help..

You know, sometimes when you asked a favor from your friend, normally if they willing to help, they will say, ok will help. If they not willing to help, they will just say NO. I am pretty ok with these two types of people, either help or don’t help, they say it right in front of you.

Do you know there is another type of people? Which when you ask for their help, they actually not willing to help but somehow they just want to be NICE to you in front of you, so they agree to help. But deep down in their heart, they dun planned to help you.

argg.. i just hate this kind of ppl. If you dun feel like helping, it’s fine, but pls, just say it out. People will not blame you for not helping, but ppl WILL blamed you when you said you will help but at the end of the day you don’t!!

Great apartment

I planned a family trip to Cameron Highlands not too long ago. There were about 12 of us and we went up the hill in 3 cars.

I booked a big apartment which can fit all 12 of us. The apartment I booked was very spacious and I love the living room. It is very well decorated especially the electric fireplace. I definitely will recommend this apartment to my friends.

Good headphones

When I do my work I love to listen to some music. Music seems to let me relax and concentrate with my work. If you check my desk, you will see a pair of good headphone lying on my table. It is a must for me.

I had bought different brands of headphones but my favorite is still the sony headphones. The quality is very good and it makes a wonderful experience, especially if you are listening to Acapella.

Congrats Irene!

Irene had been trying to get pregnant for the last few months. Today, she walked into the office and shared the great news with us, she’s pregnant!! Oh my, we were all so happy for her.

Immediately after she went back to her cubicle, we gathered and discussed what to get for her baby. Ya, I know it’s a bit early to discuss but who cares? After some discussion, we all decided to get her a Baby Bedding Set.
Since this is her 1st child, she needs to buy all the baby stuff, I think the bedding set will be useful to her.

Weird birthday present

Susan told me she wanted to buy something useful for her brother. Therefore, she asked him what he wants or need for his birthday present. After some serious thought, the brother told him to get her bike racks.

He would love to carry his bike with him when he travel in his car. Well, it is not a common thing we buy as a birthday present but who cares? The most important thing is the brother loves it! Right?

Internet ~ best place to get the things you want

I always tell David that we can find so many things on the Internet nowadays. From food, to clothes, household items and even industrial items. Whenever he heard I said Internet, he will just smile to me and walked off.

Today, out of surprise, he asked me where to find shims. I do not know what is that but after googled, I told him that Reid Supply Company has the market covered.

I am pretty sure he agreed with me now, on the Internet.

Starbucks Charm!

I love coffee since … erm.. ooops.. I can’t even remember since when!! haha, I just love coffee!! Started with nescafe, and then when I started to work, I was addicted to Coffee Bean’s Ice Blended! I tried Starbucks before but their ice blended was just too sweet for me. That is why I seldom visit Starbucks.

Last yr, me and another colleague treated a colleague on his farewell dinner. He treated us starbucks on the other hand to say thanks to us. I remembered I ordered a hot drink, and ever since, I was addicted to starbucks, until NOW!!

I purposely applied the AMEX card just because there was a buy 1 free 1 promotion that time in Starbucks. Then when starbucks launched their starbucks card, immediately I purchased one.

Yesterday on FB, I saw starbucks giving out Starbucks charm when we reload Rm 120 on our starbucks card. Oh, that charm looks nice!! I think I’m gonna get it too!!

Argg…so addicted to starbucks…

Compost bin in the garden

When I saw this compost bin on the Internet, I thought of David’s new house. I remember he told me his new house will have a really big garden.

One of the reason he chose the house is because the garden is big and his mom loves gardening. I think I am gonna buy this compost bin for him to put in the garden. Think his mum will find it useful!

“What to eat today?” It has been a habit to ask each other this question during lunch everyday.  You must be wondering, not much food choices around my working place?

Well, frankly speaking, there are quite a lot of choices around my working place, fast food, chinese coffee shops, malay stalls selling malay food, indian food, arab food, mamak, kopitiams and etc etc. If there are a lot of choices, why are we still complaining everyday? Hahaha, you asked me? I asked who?

Favorite past time hobby

Whenever Sandy is free, she will sit in front of her laptop and start surfing the net, checking out where else to get cheap jewelry online although she had already bookmarked plenty of online jewelry shops.

Her passion for collecting jewelry had never reduced and one of her biggest dream is to open a small jewelry shop one day.

I seriously hope she can fulfill her dream in the near future.

Bangkok, I’m coming soon…

I am researching for my trip to Bangkok in June. When my friend know that I am going to Bangkok, they asked, you are going to Bangkok again? How many times have you been to Bangkok?

haha, I do love Bangkok, it’s a shopping paradise! I think if I’m not mistaken, this coming visit is my 4th visit to Bangkok. If you asked me, I am pretty sure there will definitely be the next, next, next and next visit to Bangkok.

Have you been to Bangkok? If not, I think you really should plan a trip there. Trust me, you will love the country!
