Shampoo caused cancer…

FL bought a new shampoo at Jusco 2 months ago and after using it, he found it quite good. When he almost finished the first bottle, he decided to get another bottle, a bigger one. Just before he starts using the second bottle, the news came out and mentioned that that shampoo contained dioxane (二恶烷) which can caused cancer.

Besides the brand FL’s using, the website also posted some other popular brands (which we can easily find at all major supermarkets) contained dioxane too. Of cos, all these news were in the China/HK websites, I wonder our country started to look into it already or not? Or just as usual, tell us that that product in other countries got problem, but the same product in our country got no problem?

Anyway, back to the topic. What I’m trying to say here is that, why every time, after a product launched in the market for SO MANY years then only they realized it’s harmful to us? Can you imagine, it might be 10 yrs, or 20 or 30 yrs we’ve already used that product, then suddenly u tell us it’s not good for our health, what will happened to us? I guess that’s why so many ppl diagnosed with cancer nowadays, the food we eating, the product we using, all caused cancer..

Since now they said most shampoo in the market also contained dioxane, maybe we should start using soap powder to wash our hair? or better still don’t wash hair at all?

With great money, comes great responsibility

Recently chat with a few friends and seems that most of them (including me also lar..) hope they can have a job like this…

• High pay but less responsibilities
• Can go back on time, 9am – 6pm
• Good bonus and increment, 2 months and above for bonus, 10% and above for increment
• Allowance (transportation even though no need to travel, meal allowance)

Ya ya, I know. We all are a bunch of ppl dreaming in day time. Where got such job which gives you high pay but not much responsibilities? Spiderman, the movie also got this saying lar, “With great power, comes great responsibility”. Sames goes with “With great money, comes great responsibility” hehe…

As for the second option, yes, some job does allow their staff to go back on time, mostly foreign companies lar. I remembered a friend once told me, his gwai lo boss actually chased him away at 6pm sharp. How nice lar, but I nv have the chance to have bosses like this before.. too bad…

As for the option 3 & 4, some of you might have this already lar.. Few times bonuses a year, and increment cin cin cai cai also RM 1K or so.. how nice.. Me? got bonus already can curi curi laugh (偷偷的笑) and give you 10% increment you already can kill chicken and thank god d la.. (劏雞還神) allowance? slowly wait lar… wuahahahhahahaa…

Sometimes I tell myself, we as an employee, need to be satisfied, cannot ask for too much, but then when I see ppl around me getting such great benefits and salary, I will tell myself again, maybe it’s time for a change? I also deserve such good benefits also mar.. hehe..

I’m “jeng shan fan liet”? (精神分裂) hehe.. maybe I am… :p

David’s brother is going to college soon. David wants to get his brother a present but didn’t know what to get him. When he asked me about it, I asked him to consider getting him a short term health insurance NC.

His brother is going to stay at hostel, all the outside food and the late night sleep might caused some health issues. Therefore getting him a health insurance before hand is a perfect gift for him.

It’s so nice to see you!

I met Sally a couple days ago at the mall, I haven’t seen her since she had migrated to Australia during secondary school. She already got married and I was so surprised that she has a 15 years old daughter!

She told me she came back visiting and also told me that this is her step daughter. She brought her to the mall to see if she can get adult acne treatments for her daughter.

Too bad I got another appointment and didn’t manage to catch up with her. We exchanged phone numbers and she promised to call me to meet up again before she goes back to Australia.

When Kelly found out she got pregnant, the first thing she started to research on the Internet was not about the baby or the pregnancy. The thing that she researched was the best weight loss pills available in the market.

Kurang Manis…

Malaysian consumed a lot of sugar/sweet stuff, we are among one of those countries that have lot’s of diabetic patients. Therefore, due to health issues, a lot of people tend/try to consume less sweet stuff whenever they can. That’s when we have this “kurang manis” word added behind our drinks whenever we make our orders especially at mamak or malay stalls.

“Kurang Manis” basically means less sweet. If you order a cup of nescafe/teh tarik, “kurang manis” means add less condensed milk, or when you order a glass of “limau ais”, kurang manis means less sugar. But one thing I found out whenever I order “kurang manis” drinks is, besides adding less condensed milk/sugar, they will reduce everything else too.

Let’s say you order nescafe kurang manis, when your drink is served, you’ll noticed, besides less condensed milk, they actually used less nescafe powder to make the drink. In other words, your nescafe becomes tasteless, no nescafe taste, no sweet taste.. Same goes with ordering limau ais, no limau taste, no sweet taste…

hmm…how to make them understand kurang manis is just to reduce the sugar/milk and not other stuff? Should we start order our drinks with.. nescafe kurang manis banyak nescafe? or limau ais kurang manis banyak limau?

Changing Field….

If your job is to get sales but you are having a hard time finding business for the company even though you tried really hard, do you think you are suitable in this field? Or if your job requires you to communicate with people but you are not really a very good talker, or the minute you open your mouth you already ‘tak zhui’ ppl, then shouldn’t you think twice whether to change field or not?

I do understand that we cannot give up things easily, we have to give ourselves some time to “try” it out, or to learn to cope, but for how long? 1 year? 2 years? If you are not able to do what you’re currently doing after so many years, then maybe it’s really time for a change.

Some people said, change is no good. I do not agree with that. I remembered one of my ex colleague, she was a designer and she didn’t really perform well. After a year she quit and changed to do sales. Guess what, she did really well in sales!! The last time I heard, she was one of the top sales personnel in her company!! Therefore, if you did not do well in this field doesn’t mean you can’t do well in others!

Why am I starting talking about all this? Well, I’ve seen people who didn’t do well in their field BUT they think they are doing pretty good. I don’t know what makes them think that… The worst is, when they can’t handle their job well, they started to point fingers to others, blaming other ppl… Arggg.. I just hate these ppl…

Perfect gift for her mum!

I went shopping with Irene last weekend. She needs to get a birthday present for her mum and she hope I could give her some ideas. She doesn’t need special unique present, what she needs is to get her mum something useful, something which her mum would benefit from. After having some thought, I suggested her to get her mum anti wrinkle eye cream.

Women like to stay young regardless their age, this would be the perfect present for her mum!

Coffee vs Sleepy Pills (not sleeping pills lar..)…

Rashes..one thing which I thought it would nv happened to me. If you asked me few months ago what is it like to have skin problem/rashes? I would have told you I don’t know cos I never had any problem with my skin before (except for pimples. hehe…) I mean I was never allergy to food or stuff, and I nv really had rashes before.. But if you asked me now. I would say, having rashes/itchy skin is really a nightmare!! Terrible terrible nightmare!!

I’ve been suffering for months now, well, almost 2 months. I had sleepless nights, terrible itch, and I tried my best to avoid the sun, as heat makes the itch worst. Then I started to take bath every few hours if possible, I finished a big bottle of ‘man gam yao’ in a week. Can you imagine? Normally the ‘man gam yao’ in my house can lasts for years!! Anyway, all these doesn’t really help as it got worst. Seen 2 doctors, doesn’t really help and finally decided to go to the specialist, yes a skin specialist.

My first impression when I saw the doctor was, oh man, this guy looks like Samuel Hui Koon-kit’s (许冠杰) BROTHER… Ricky Hui Koon Ying (许冠英). hehe..The height, the hair style, the face.. hehehe.. anyway, back to the rashes, he gave me some medicine and some cream to apply and told me to take the medicine 3 times a day. There are 2 types of medicine, morning and afternoon one will make me feel sleepy and the night one will not. Immediately I told the doctor that I need to work and asked whether he could give me meds which don’t caused sleepiness, then he said ok.

When I got my medicine, I noticed that the morning and afternoon meds had now changed to morning and night, hmmm, morning eat liao still feel sleepy wat… well, guess I don’t have much choice though…

And there it goes, I started to feel sleepy everyday at work. First, I can’t really sleep well at night cos of the itchiness and constant waking up, and Secondly, the sleepy pills. I mean, even without the sleepy pills I will also feel sleepy d, but now with the sleepy pills, it’s even worst!! Everyday after breakfast, after I took the pills, my eyes started to shut automatically and I looked like a drug addict, constantly yawning!!

~sigh.. I decided to do something cos I can’t be like this at work!! How am I suppose to work in this condition, right? So one day, I decided to do a little bit experiment, which is to take coffee first, then only take the sleepy pills. I wanted to see if the coffee can successfully win over the sleepy pills or not!!

What do you think? Coffee wins or sleepy pills wins? Well, sleepy pills wins lar.. ~sigh.. still feeling very very sleepy…

p/s: rashes got under control after taking the meds.. under control only, not 100% cured….

I did not realize that my car insurance is going to expire in a few days time. I was so busy with work recently and had no time to go renew for my car insurance. Mother’s Day Present

I asked Danny what he bought for his mother for Mother’s Day and he told me he needs to buy 3 presents instead of 1 for Mother’s Day. One if for his mother, another one for his mother in law, and another one for his wife, which is a mother to his kids.

He told me he bought diamonds for them. Wow, all 3 of them? He must have spent a fortune on the gifts. He told me it’s still affordable as he bought them wholesale diamonds.

When is my vacation?

Kelly is currently passing her work to Danny as she will be on leave for the next 2 weeks. When I asked her where she is going for her 2 weeks holidays, she told me she had booked an Orlando vacation with her family and she’s very looking forward to it.
