I prefer cash, hehe, or cash vouchers!!
October 10th, 2008 | by jys |My birthday falls on October and I started to receive lot’s of birthday cards since end of September. Still got people send birthday cards through snail mail? Got, all these cards are not from my friends lar, all my friends knows I dislike birthday cards, I prefer something useful such as MONEY. :p
So who sent these birthday cards to me? Well, from my insurance agent lar, from the shop I bought my ring lar, from the water filter company lar, from credit cards lar, from Jusco lar and etc etc etc. Some just sent a card with birthday wishes but some.. hehe, sent the card with some useful stuff such as vouchers/free gift. for eg, a free gift from Jusco, which I still don’t know what is it cos I have not redeem, and some got some discount voucher (from Eu Yan Sang & Diamond Platinum) and the best so far is from HSBC, a StarBucks voucher with I can get a cup of free coffee and a slice of cake! not bad hor..
I wonder will I receive cash vouchers…hmmm….

Jusco cheap skate la…the birthday gift is just a booklet of discount vouchers, e.g., spend above x amount at y shop to get a 10 or 20% discount. Yeah, I got it, too.
HSBC is better, giving real gifts, like the Starbucks free coffee and a slice of cake!

ya ya, i also prefer the HSBC gift, at least you don’t need to pay a single cent to get the gift!!

Hmm… I own a HSBC credit card, but they never send me such good stuffs… Perhaps I always use CTbank card, haha!

during my first year wif hsbc, they gave me a mini ‘massage’ pillow..but after that, nothing liau.. sian..

I get something every year from HSBC as well.
This year was a big soft pillow from gintell I think.
Anyway … HSBC seems to have a system to indicate which which user are to be targeted for these kind of things.
My wife and me get different stuff for our birthdays. Hers tend to be jewelry from “Wah Chan”.
