2 hours in Macau!!

December 4th, 2008 | by jys |

Today is the last day of our HK/Macau trip. We will fly back to Malaysia from the Macau Airport at 5pm+. After breakfast (which is already 10am), we packed our bags and check out from the hotel. Bye bye Hong Kong, I will definitely miss all the Espirit, G2000, hehe, and the food!!

We still hope to visit Macau a bit therefore after we check out we took the Turbojet back to Macau. We only managed to get the 11:35am ticket which costs us HKD 134 each.

Bye bye Hong Kong, I will be back!!

As you can see, the turbojet is quite new if compared to the New Ferry Macau. It is clean too. As soon as we were in our seats, the staff start asking what we want to eat/drink, of cos have to pay lar.. Oh ya, turbojet is faster than New Ferry Macau too!

After an hour or so, we reached Macau! Since our flight is at 5pm+, we don’t have much time left (it’s already 12pm+). But before we can start visiting Macau, we have to find a place to keep our luggage!! We can’t carry this 10kg++ luggage with us! We managed to find a place to leave our luggage at first floor, with the price of HKD 30 per luggage.

After get rid of our luggage, we took the free shuttle bus to Grand Lisboa (新葡京). There are a lot of free shuttle bus that gives you free ride too all casinos. When we reached there, all of us were given a scratch and win coupon. We scratched and we did not win anything, hehe, so we just walked out of the casino.

After that, based on the map, we walked about 15 minutes and we reached here.

Santa Casa da Misericórdia

We tried the famous Macau Famous Double Skin Milk!! (澳门双皮奶) and the Macau Portuguese EggTart (澳门葡挞) here. Erm, in my opinion, both taste so so only lar. :p

We continue to walk along this street. There a lot of people along the street, you can shop for clothes, souvenirs, biscuits and etc here.

At the end of the street, you will see the famous ruins of St. Paul’s Mount Fortress (大三巴牌坊). Well, ppl say if you nv see this, that means you nv been to Macau before. hehe.. So that is why I’m here, just to take a picture of this!!

Oh ya, if you see this, please DON’T buy this. the pork chop bun (HKD 15 each) is as hard as stone. Both me and FL can’t even finished one, I took a bite and FL finish half, and we throw the other half. I heard pock chop bun is famous in Macau, you have to try, but make sure do not buy from this stall, else you’ll regret.

It’s already almost 2pm when we finished visit these places. We need to reach the airport by 3pm+ so we decided to take bus to the Macau Ferry Terminal. I did not have a good impression in Macau because the ppl there are quite rude. The bus driver, the person that we asked for direction… It seems that HK ppl are more friendly and nice..

Anyway, we only spend 2 hours in Macau, so can’t make much judgement also.. :) I miss Hong Kong, but not Macau. hehe.. and if I have the chance to go HK again, I think i will skip Macau. :)

Bye bye HK and Macau….
