Tak Boleh Tahan lar!!!!!!
January 12th, 2009 | by jys |Fresh grads nowadays are really different from last time (of cos not ALL freshie la..), at least different from the time when I was a fresh grad. 9am start work, they reached office at 10am, even later than those managers. Even when people tells them try to come earlier, preferable not later than 9:30am, they still come at 10am, totally ignored what ppl said. They treated datelines like nothing, to them, you want to set datelines is your problem, I will take my own sweet time to do my work. Lunch time 1 hour? Who cares? They will take 1 and a half hour, after finished lunch can go shopping some more..
This minute received warning email from manager, asked them not to chat on msn (big boss saw them chatting, cos they MAXIMIZE the screen), next minute, still chat like normal…with 3 or 4 friends at the same time. When they feel sleepy, they will sleep, with earphones on their ears, so that they won’t be awake by other people..
and you know what’s the best part? The companies still keeps them!! Geng leh!!

If they cannot finish stuff on time, then company shld force them out…by asking them to resign willingly. It’s bit expensive to terminate people.

don’t blame them, blame on those who hire them…. sometimes I wonder how the HR hire people…haha

here’s my take:
1) not meeting datelines -
prolly can blame their uni for this. my uni last time, it DOES pay to NOT meet the dateline. lecturer will extend the dateline for those who didn’t manage the dateline and if that is not bad enuf, those ppl didn’t get penalized!! they get the same marks like the rest of us that did pass up on time
2) coming to work late:
if the HR director is related to you, the it does help a lot. i once had a colleague who alwiz came into the office 1 hour later (eg: works start at 9am, he comes in at 10am). coz when he was confronted for doing this, he told the boss ” i don’t go for lunch hour, so that makes up for the one hour..” O.O like that oso can ar? yea!! coz the boss let him off..knn

ya, blame the uni..but then again, if you already work for almost a year, you can’t really blame the uni right? some more so many ppl talked to u about the dateline and they still can act like nothing? i personally think it’s the attitude problem..
as for coming work late, comp does allows staff to come in a bit late.. but as as late as 10am, except u’re the manager.. some more.. they go off early… managers stays up really late…

Hmm… They are in different generation… Maybe they are from a well off family too… They didn’t care abt this job~

ya, i think that’s one of the reason too, they don’t need to worry about ‘cai’(wood) and don’t need to worry about ‘mai’ (rice)..
