Living together with Gangster/Samseng
February 3rd, 2009 | by jys |My condo recently set a new rule, illegal cars (cars without sticker or visitor pass) and cars parking at the wrong places (other ppl’s parking place, non car park area, motorcycle place, handicap space if you’re not one) will be clamped. I was happy when I heard there’s such rules cos there are really too many ppl/owners simply parked at any place they want and caused a lot of troubles. If your car got clamped, you will need to pay RM 50 and the guard will release your car.
So yesterday morning, while I was in the kitchen, I saw a car got clamped, the owner parked his car at a non parking place. Later that day, FL went to the management office to pay the maintenance fees. When he got home, he told me he saw the car owner shout at the guard, asked the guard to release his car. When the guard asked him to pay RM 50, he told the guard, you don’t want to release my car? fine!! I will asked me ‘heng dai’ to come cut off the clamp!! And after my ‘heng dai’ cut off the clamp, i will asked them to break all the things here (swimming pool, gym room, maintenance office, chairs, tables and etc)!!
FL did not know what happened after that as he did not stand there and listened to the whole conversation (who dares, that guy sounds like gangster). When he was at the maintenance office, the person in charge told him there are a lot of gangster/samseng living in our condo and these things happened a lot.
I was shocked when I heard that. Living together with a bunch of gangster/samseng? Oh my god!!! If you live in a condo, there are rules that we need to follow. It is very difficult when you have these neighbours who does not follow the rules. They not only don’t follow rules, they might create troubles too!! I have no idea whether the guard release the clamp or the ‘heng dai’ cut it off. but I think most probably the guard release it for free, you really don’t know what these ppl might do… ~sigh…

So rule! Sometime this is the disadvantage to live in a condo lor… Maybe they just threaten the guard lar…

when you live in a condo, you will think how nice if you could live in a landed property, but when you really live in a landed property, then probably you will say living in a condo will be nice…

Which condo do you live in? Mine has REALLY strict security. The steel bars come down after 12 am and no one except residents can come in after that. You have to scan in your car to get in so I guess it’s relatively safe (although I have been known to bring friends home and use my card to scan them in and let them park at my parking bay).

yup, mine also, we used scan card to get in and out of the condo. the thing is, a lot of owners they only have one parking space, so they will use the scan card to get the second car in and park at visitors car park, or motorcycle parking place or some illegal places. That is why the condo is setting the rules…

I see. Mine has two parking spaces so I can allow one to park behind me. Our condo doesn’t let people park at the visitor’s car park after 12 am for some reason. The policy is, park at your space or move the car outside. Bit of a problem when I had a couple of guests over last time.
I think we live pretty close together considering we’re both in PJ and around the Uptown area.

I’m ok if ppl bring friends and parked at their own parking spaces. but NOT at other ppl’s parking spaces or some illegal space!
