A 4 yrs old said want to kill me…
March 23rd, 2009 | by jys |My brother brought his whole family to KL for shopping last weekend. As usual, I brought them to Ikea (his wife likes Ikea stuff very much). As soon as we reached Ikea, my brother asked me and FL to help take care of his eldest son, a 4 yrs old kid. He will be taking care of his 1 yr old son so that his wife can shop without worrying her kids.
My nephew is a very active boy, one minute he’s here, and the other minute he’s somewhere else. Ikea was very crowded yesterday and we really had a hard time playing hide and seek with him. I was so afraid that he got lost so I brought him to this kids section where he can play with the toys there.
After a while, I found him quite rude and kept grabbing other kids toys! He even pushed some of the kids away. I was so angry and I scolded him and tell him not to do that (not those very loud type lar, just with a fierce look). Then he said to me “I want to kill you, and you and you! All of you will be dead (我要杀死你，还有你，和你！你们都会死掉)!!”
The minute he said that, I was shocked. A 4 yrs old said something like that? 4 yrs old only wor.. I think when I was 4, I don’t even know what is die, or kill! This is very bad! Where did he learn all this? From the tv? From school?
It’s not that I mind he said these words to me, I just felt unbelievable, shocked and sad. A 4 yrs old adorable kid will say these things.. ~sigh.. I think nowadays parents let their kids watched TV without filtering the tv programs. Maybe parents are busy, both mum and dad working, nobody is free to sit side by side and explain to their kids what is wrong and what is right.
I just hope all parents out there can spend more time with their kids….

too much ultraman, batman, spiderman, naruto etc. etc. ….whatever happened to sesame street, care bears and smurf

ya.. i think nowadays cartoons are quite violent…i miss smurf and care bears too…

Need to teach very well lo. Else become even worst when grow up. ^_^

wahlao! i would have told his mum already. let the mum teach. if it’s my kid, i would have taruh kau kau de…so small already so rude. older de then how?

aih….parents too sayang…even tell them, the most they will say to the kid is “ei…cannot like tat…”
