Plan to use Sky Net Courier Service? Better think twice!!
June 21st, 2009 | by jys |I ordered something online and the sender told me she will courier my parcel with Sky Net and it will arrived the next day, on Saturday (20 Jun). I woke up at about 10am and started to wait for my parcel to arrive. I wait and wait and wait and there’s no sign of the parcel, I have a lunch appointment at 1pm so I decided to get the tracking number from the sender so that I could track where’s my parcel.
I can see that my parcel is out for delivery since 9:46am. Ok.. what takes them so long? I decided to postpone my lunch appointment to dinner. I really need to get the parcel on that day itself. So again, I wait and wait and wait and when I checked the tracking status at 3pm+, I saw a note added there saying that…

What the hell? I was at home the whole day? Nobody knocked on my door, nobody rings the door bell. When I saw this, I went out to check my door to see whether there’s any notes left behind. Normally when nobody at home, they will either call the receiver, or they will leave a note and ask the receiver to call back to arrange for a second delivery. But this? I got no notes and no phone calls!!
I even checked my door bell to see whether it’s working fine. I thought maybe they did ring the door bell and I did not hear it, but NO!! My door bell is working fine and it’s so loud and clear that I will be awake by it even thought I’m asleep!!
I got so frustrated cos I actually postponed my appointment and wait at home for the arrival of the parcel. I called their customer service but they asked me to call back during working hours!!Did they actually deliver it to my house? Or they just decided to update the status without actually delivering it? I mean it makes no sense what, if they “really” standing in front of my gate, I’m pretty sure they will get me!!
If you visit their website, you can see they said themselves are RELIABLE, FAST and ACCURATE. But if you asked me, I do not feel that they are reliable at all! This is my first experience with them and I’m sure this will be the last. I will not trust Sky Net anymore and if you are using this courier service, I do hope you think twice. You will probably lose your customers because of them.
By the way, they said they will try to deliver it again today, on Sunday, so now I am, waiting at home again..it’s almost 4pm now and I still see no sign of my parcel.. Maybe when I check the tracking status at 5pm I will get to see another “Shipment Problem 2″?

Yesterday I was at home the whole day and I did not receive anything as well. They said delivery will be reattempt on 21 Jun (which is yesterday) but I got nothing!! and they called themselves fast and reliable? hahahahaahahahahahaha….

I already requested them to send it to my office this morning, is my office closed? is there anyone in the office? Of cos my office is not closed at 5pm and of cos there are ppl in the office. My guess? it’s either they delivered it to my home address again (even i requested them to change to my office add) or they never deliver and simply update the status!

Sounds like very unreliable to me. SO then the next time we should use Nationwide? Or fedex? Hehe ;D

sometimes it is like that la… if the things seller at kl and you are at kl, choose register post also 1 day can reach.

no lar, i suspect they nv deliver to me and just simply update the status lar, that is why i’m so angry… not every seller agrees to meet lor.. since we the buyer will bear the cost of delivery fees..

haha! the last time I used Sky Net was when Dell was sending me my new laptop. Now I thanked God that it arrived safely after reading your post.

i’m not as lucky as u do. my guess is.. they can’t find my house, so they just said nobody at home.. i experienced this with another courier service, they can’t find my house too, but unlike sky net, they did call and asked for direction.

The sender might have given the wrong mailing address. Sky Net usually is quite reliable. Even if they failed to locate your address, they will give you a call.
You sure the sender didn’t mess up your mailing address?

yup, besides tracking where’s the parcel, there’s also a picture of the form with my address on it on their website. I checked, everything is correct, my h/p no is there too…address is correct, phone number correct and still…I received nothing..

I faced the same issue with Sky Net last time. No notice letter also. End up I pick up the parcel myself at their office.
What to do? Inform the sender about Sky Net bad service.

yalar, request to change address, change d they still deliver it to my house.. pengsan.. then call again, they said need to wait for another day cos they need to send to another branch.. I’m suppose to get the parcel last sat, but today already tuesday.. really teruk!!
the worst is I still need to pay for their delivery fees..
already complaint to the sender lar, i won’t order from her again if she still using sky net.. very pek chek d!!

lol…actually i did bought many things online before, around 30% of the seller used skynet…
so far to me not really an issue because i don’t expect the thing to arrive the next day…
postage is just harder to predict,
just like the seller told they sent today, but they sent 2 days later…
or that day is raining day and caused the delay..
your case…. i believe they didn’t really reach to your doorstep while there is no proof in the mailbox or anything…

no ler, i had received things from pos laju, abx, dhl, and some other courier service but none of them gave me such a bad impression like sky net lar..my first time with sky net and i’m pretty sure it will be the last!!

i also tried it myself many time…always say no ppl at home but the fact is i’m sittin at the hall whole day n no ppl come…then wen i call them they say the delivery boy is new and duno my add…wtf…duno my area say no ppl at home n put the blame on me..!!!

Skynet…. no hope. Highly NOT recommended. Call for pick-up never come, call again never come also.
Today I’m suppose to receive a parcel but by 4pm haven’t arrive also. Call them, parcel still in Skynet branch office. Did not send out for delivery.
Poslaju much better.

From what I heard, this skynet they sub their jobs to different companies.. so it depends on which area u’re in. Some companies provide better service but some sucks (just like the one encountered by both u and me…)….

I got the same msg too…i was at home..but the same msg just like your [consignee not at home...re attemp blah blah] appear when i check the status…and there were no calls or note too..

you guys still has it better, I got my parcel delivered to a wrong person it seems. not sure how this will turn out. the customer service didnt explain any shit to me and simply said will discuss with the higher ups and call me tomorrow morning. wtf?

they also said the same matter
item cannot deliver because no one
at home, my mother and my wife is there
at home the hold day.
try to make a phone call
there said the item will be sent
in the evening, waited n waited
until 7.00 pm, nothing, sure after
this have to make havoc la after this

ya, it is really so frustrating, especially when you purposely stay at home to wait for the parcel to arrive and yet they said nobody at home when in actual fact they nv deliver to you. Really bad!!!!

yea. same goes to me too.
same situation. they should call first. how would we know if they come and didnt call.
thew thing here, i live on level 20, the building is very secure. outsider cannot just come inside. if they didnt call, how can i come down?

Same thing happened to me too!!
Last 2 weeks, i ordered something online. And the only choice of delivery is Sky Net.
They didn’t send it to me first and then i tracked it on the internet and it says it’s been held on their office! Then i emailed them asking where is my parcel and they said they will deliver it the next day.
Usually they will came to my house around 8am-11am, and i need to go out for a moment at 11.30am. and they came at 1.30 pm. They left a note and i called them, they say they will deliver it next day.
The next day, they did came to my house but without my parcel! They just came to the wrong house lane. I mean, they just a few houses away and they didn’t want to deliver my parcel?!
So i called them AGAIN! they say they will deliver it the next day. I’m so frustrated at that time. And then, no sign of them.
Called them the day after tomorrow and they said my parcel is MISSING ! And my item costed me RM126 ! Before this, no problem has occured when i’m using sky net’s service. And this WILL be the last time i use their service.
