Speeding can reduce fuel consumption?
June 29th, 2009 | by jys |On our way back to my hometown last weekend, FL told me he read from a car forum, one of the user said if want to reduce the fuel consumption on the car model that he’s driving, what we need to do is to drive fast till 160km/h, then automatically the fuel consumption of the car will be lower.
When I heard that, I was like, huh? got such thing ar? We both laughed and then the funny thing was we both decided to try. wuahahahahaha.. so FL started to speed and we definitely pass 160. But of cos, once we passed 160, we slowed down.. hehe… that guy never said need to maintain 160km/h mar, he just said once the car passed 160km/h, then it’s good enough already..
so how’s the result? seriously? I don’t know yet, can’t see any difference. Maybe we just kena tipu. wuahahahaha.. but at least we try lar.. now pray hard that we did not kena saman. :p
aih.. we really ‘loh fu lei san’ right? hehe…

But I do believe if we are riving fast on a highway and maintain the speed we could actually save on fuel consumption because there is already momentum. Besides driving on a smooth highway is gliding effortlessly on air! ;D

no lar, wat the forumer means is that once you drive past 160km/h, the car fuel consumption will be low next time even though we’re not speeding..

Once passed the 160km/h, u can reduce fuel consumption…erm…
I cant say whether it make sense or not…in my past experience, when exceeded 130km/h constantly…the fuel is getting higher consumption.
If 160km/h to save 10% of the petrol, but in the meantime to increase the “life risk(accident)” and “money risk (saman)”, i dun think it is worth.
