Wrong number? I don’t believe you!!

Have you ever dialed a wrong number before? And if you do, after the person told you that you got the wrong number, did you just say sorry and put down the phone or you continue talking/asking questions?

Well, with hp, I think we seldom get the wrong number unless we saved the contacts with the wrong number, but if the person told me I got the wrong number, I will say sorry and end our conversation. Are you the same too? But it seems like not everyone will do the same thing.

Few days ago, I received a call from an unknown number. Here’s how our conversation like..

U: Unknown caller

J: Hello
U: Errr, ah tan ada?
J: ah tan? Sorry, salah nombor.
U: har? ah tan? Saya xxx (didn’t really get the name.)
J: no, there’s no ah tan here, you got the wrong number. (I decided to speak english cos my malay is not that good. hehe…)
U: har? wrong number? you siapa?
J: (I don’t know why she wanna know who i am..I’m getting a little bit impatient cos I was quite busy at that time) You got the wrong number, why you need to know who i am?
U: oh, you kim ke?
J: (OMG!!!!! Why don’t she gets it? She got the WRONG NUMBER!!!!) No, sorry, there’s no ah tan, or kim, you got the wrong number. Sorry, bye.

I decided to end the conversation myself cos I don’t know whether she will start asking whether I am chong lar, koh lar, lee lar and etc. I really do not understand why she needs to know who I am after I told her she got the wrong number. She don’t think she dialed the wrong number? Well, if really is that case, she can always check with me what. I’m ok if she asked me the number she dialed is correct or not rather than start asking me names..
