How many tang yuan are you going to eat today?
December 22nd, 2009 | by jys |Today is the Winter Solstice Festival/Dongzhi Festival (冬至). It is one of the most important festivals celebrated by Chinese, and a lot of ppl said DongZhi is bigger/more important than the Chinese New Year. Hmm, what do you think?
Anyway, my family don’t celebrate DongZhi, but FL family does. So today will be having a big big dinner with all kinds of meat (hahhaaha, typical chinese family, when got important big days, must have lot’s of meat one), and of cos, after dinner will have “tang yuan’ (湯圓). I am not so into those meaty dinner but I am really looking forward for the round round colorful ‘tang yuan’, hmmm..yummy and I love it.
What about you? Are you going home for dinner tonight? How many tang yuan you plan to eat?
