Well, it started way back, during CNY… When we just got back from hometown after a week holiday, the minute we opened our front door, there was this bad smell coming out from the 3rd room. The smell was really bad, it was like something dead inside the room.

Immediately we opened all the windows to let the air flow and at the same time trying to find the dead “thing” in the room. We ended up found nothing in the room. However we did noticed some stain on the plaster ceiling. I asked FL, could it be the bird dead in the roof?

When the management office reopened, I went to file a complaint, to ask them to remove the bird nest or dead bird in the roof. They asked me to wait for their call, so I waited.

Day by day, week by week, it was our fault too for not chasing the management earlier. The smell gone after a few days and we thought we shall just wait for the management to call us. What a bad decision we’ve made!!

A week ago, we woke up getting bites from “dono what” from our bed. It was red and itchy!! And I noticed this tiny little thing on our bed sheet. It was so tiny, like a black dot and if it’s not moving, u won’t be able to notice it.

At first, I thought it was bed bug.. and I even planned to throw away my RM 2K mattress. Luckily I did some research and realized, bed bug should be bigger and not as tiny as the “thing” I saw.

I decided to contact the pest control company and when I was at their website, I saw that “thing” on one of the images on the pest control website. It was bird mites!! OMG!!

Immediately I called the management office to ask them to come and remove the bird nest/dead bird ASAP. And then I called the pest control company, pest control comp told me it was difficult to kill those mites (becos it’s too tiny) so they advised me to vacumn my floor, wall, corners, beds everyday for a week and monitor. It should go away by then and if it’s not, then only they will come over to do pest control. Besides that, I should wash all washable stuff with hot water to get rid of all the mites.

So that is why I am so busy last week, busy vacuuming, busy sending all my clothes, bed sheets, towels, carpet and etc etc to dobi to wash with hot water. ~sigh…

A few lesson learned from this incident…

1. Try not to buy the unit near the roof (except pent house, that’s different story) if you are planning to buy a condo.
2. Beware of birds, especially dead birds. Removed them ASAP!!
3. Get a washing machine that can wash with hot water!!

Mites are gone now.. and I hope they will be gone FOREVER!!!! Please DON’T COME BACK!!!!

After lighted the candle (ya, we only got one candle, hehe..), FL decided to go down to ’8′. Actually he just can’t stand the heat in the house and needed to get out of the house to get some fresh air. hehe.. So I stayed at home, continue watching my tvb drama using my laptop while he went downstairs to ’8′.

I got a call from him half an hour later telling me that the TNB is coming over to fix and seems like it’s a major blackout, the whole stretch of apartments/condos along the street all without electricity. He also told me he will remained downstairs to assist the TNB ppl.. hahaha.. assist…. so ’8′ lar him….

At first I am still ok without the fan, but then after an hour later, mosquitoes came visit me and i started to jump around the house. I can’t really concentrate on my movies anymore and started to walk here walk there, at the same time, trying to talk to the fishes, asked them to hang in there without oxygen.. :p

2 hours later, the electricity is finally back. And a few minutes later, FL came back and I asked him how he ASSIST those TNB ppl in fixing the prob? He said he just stand there make sure they got do their job.. hahahaha.. Basically he just went down and chit chat with the other residents lar..According to him, a lot of ppl can’t stand the heat and drove out, even it’s late at night!

Hopefully no more black outs..and luckily it was not a working day the next day, else everybody will have panda eyes…

So here’s what I left…I guess these can be considered as my favorites gua, since I didn’t give them away last time.. :p

Anybody wants these cassettes? I don’t know what to do with them.. I don’t want to keep but then if throw, seems like wasted lar.. how? What should I do with them?

I thought u like sweet stuff, but then when there’s nothing sweet lying around in the kitchen, you started to go for spicy stuff (my chili powder, can you believe it???), salty stuff (light soy sauce) and sashimi (raw fish)!!!! At some point of time, you even interested in my liquid detergent!! OMG!!!!

I am now very upset with your presence, can you tell me what you want and what am I suppose to do to get rid of you??

So yesterday morning, while I was in the kitchen, I saw a car got clamped, the owner parked his car at a non parking place. Later that day, FL went to the management office to pay the maintenance fees. When he got home, he told me he saw the car owner shout at the guard, asked the guard to release his car. When the guard asked him to pay RM 50, he told the guard, you don’t want to release my car? fine!! I will asked me ‘heng dai’ to come cut off the clamp!! And after my ‘heng dai’ cut off the clamp, i will asked them to break all the things here (swimming pool, gym room, maintenance office, chairs, tables and etc)!!

FL did not know what happened after that as he did not stand there and listened to the whole conversation (who dares, that guy sounds like gangster). When he was at the maintenance office, the person in charge told him there are a lot of gangster/samseng living in our condo and these things happened a lot.

I was shocked when I heard that. Living together with a bunch of gangster/samseng? Oh my god!!! If you live in a condo, there are rules that we need to follow. It is very difficult when you have these neighbours who does not follow the rules. They not only don’t follow rules, they might create troubles too!! I have no idea whether the guard release the clamp or the ‘heng dai’ cut it off. but I think most probably the guard release it for free, you really don’t know what these ppl might do… ~sigh…

Well, some people will park along the street outside the condo, some will pretend as visitors and parked at the visitors parking, some will parked at those empty car parks which they know the owner of the car park is not around but the most ‘geng’ one is to park their car at motorcycles parking!!

This owner which park his car at the motocycles parking lot owns 2 cars, one big one small. The big car price is almost as much as the condo price! He can afford such expensive car but he can’t afford to get another car park for his small car (chervolet). At first he parked his small car at the visitors parking lot (maybe the guard recognized him since he pretend as visitors everyday), then he parked at other ppl’s car park (until one day I saw him said sorry to the owner) then the latest trick is to park his small car at 2 motorcycles parking!!

There are still empty parking lots for sale and I don’t understand why he can’t get himself another parking lot for his small car. My condo now started to clamp cars which parked at illegal places (this morning I saw a car got clamped cos he parked at the handicap parking lot, guess the guard noticed the driver is not a handicap) and I do hope his (the owner who parked his car at the motorcycle parking place) car will get clamped!!!

How come all lights on? After that, it just hang there, i can’t switched the function, I can’t pressed the water level and I can’t even turned it off. Everything seems fine when I used it few days ago, how come suddenly like that? I tried a few times also the same.

I don’t know how much this thing will costs if I were to fix it, I have not contact the person who service the washing machine. Anybody know what’s wrong with this?

Although this is a 6 years old washing machine, but it still works well. Changing washing machine is not something in my plan for this year. I wonder how much would it cost to fix this, if more than RM 100 then it’s not really worth to fix because this washing machine cost only Rm 500, and it’s 6 yrs old this year and I don’t know how long can this washing machine last.

Let’s just hope it’s some simple minor thing which costs less than RM 100.

I guess we can’t put too much hope for the petrol price to decrease by the end of the month lar. ~sigh.. let’s just hope it won’t increase some more…

I was thinking of getting the oil burner and the home fragrance oil from The Body Shop but it seems that the oil burner there are quite expensive. RM 60 per burner. If i really used it then ok lar, but what if I only 3 minutes heat? I always like that one wor, better don’t waste money. hehe..

Then suddenly I remembered I saw the oil burner at the 5 dollars shop (those shop where everything is RM 5), so I’ve decided to get the home fragrance oil from The Body Shop, and to get the oil burner at the RM 5 shop. wuahahahhaa..clever leh….

The sales personnel told me to just add 3 drops and add water, just 3 drops, I believe this small little bottle can used for a long long time…

Hmmm…my house now smells really nice la.. hehe.. can beat the smoke coming from downstairs!! yay!!

The lift is being installed in her kitchen, frankly speaking, it doesn’t really look like a lift, it looked like a door to me, come see for yourself!

The lift, looks like a door right? Looks quite nice right? Not too bulky!

This lift can only carry 3 person and it will go straight up to her father’s room. Very convenient. It is not very noisy when the lift is operating and according to my neighbour it is not consuming too much of electricity too. The lift installation ppl told her that her house is the 2nd house that they installed (lift) in my hometown.

So how much it costs to install this lift? Well, the lift itself costs about RM 80K and altogether they spent about RM 100K (renovation, tiles and etc). Is that all? No, the lift need maintenance. Even though you don’t used the lift, you still need to maintain it. You need to pay about RM 200 for the maintenance fees (you can opt for per month, or every 3 months). Ya.. costly!!

So if you are rich and you are lazy to climb the stairs, install a lift!!
