Time flies. It’s almost a year since I started to sponsor this 5 yrs old little girl, Jirot from Indonesia last year. Her father did wrote to me once, few months ago, why father but not her? Well, apparently she don’t know how to write yet so the father helped her to introduce herself to me.

Anyway, last week, I received another mail from them, this time, besides a short letter, there’s a cute drawing too!

I’m happy to hear about her progress and she’s starting school this month!! I guess the next time she will be writing her own letter to me!!

I should really write back to her, don’t you think so? but seriously I really don’t know what to write lar… :p

Argggg!!! It’s the TAX month AGAIN!!!!

Ever since I started to pay tax, I HATE APRIL!! Some people said, you should be happy that you need to submit tax mar, because paying tax means higher salary.. hahahahaa..very funny..I think nobody will ever think their salary is HIGH lar, and nobody will ever think that money is enough!!!

Anyway, since I can’t change the fact that I need to pay tax, all I can do is to find ways to reduce tax. The first thing I can think of is donation, I digged out all the receipts i received from donation and found out only 2 of them are entitled for tax reduction. My two sponsored kids, Jirot (Indonesia) and Minh Quan (Vietnam) from World Vision doesn’t help in tax reduction. ~sigh…too bad.. (but don’t worry, although no tax deduction I will still sponsor one. hehe…)

What else I can use to reduce tax? Hmm, books and magazines! I calculated all the books & magazines receipts and realized I only bought about RM 500 books/magazines last year. Wasted lar, should have bought more!! (I will definitely buy more this year!!) What else what else?

Complete medical check up? Blood test consider medical check up or not? Well I think canot lar, since blood test is a sub set of medical check up, if they did not state there ‘complete’, then maybe I can use to deduct lar. And sports equipment? Hmmm, according to the radio (they hired some expert to explain about tax), even sports shoes can be claimed under the sports equipment there. If the income tax ppl questioned you, you can say you always jogged and you can’t jog without a pair of sport shoes! wuahahahaha… funny lar, this guy… Since sports shoes can use to deduct, then bicycle also can deduct gua… right? But wait a sec, did I keep the receipt? Arrggggg!!!!!

As you can see, I am still struggling to find more receipts for tax deduction lar.. What about you? Have you done yours?

After 5 months sponsoring my little 5 yrs old girl, Jirot from Indonesia, I decided to sign up with World Vision again and sponsor another child. The procedures are the same, I signed up through the website, then few minutes after I clicked the submit button, I received an email with an attachment. I was required to fill up the credit card form (auto deduct RM 50) and fax to them.

I fax over the form to them last friday and yesterday I received a snail mail from them with the info of the child that I’m going to sponsor. Wow, that was pretty fast!! This time I’m sponsoring a 7 years old boy from Hanoi, Vietnam.

7 yrs old, handsome or not? hehe..

What a coincidence, I’m going to Hanoi in May, maybe I should pay him a visit? hehe…

Few days ago when I checked my mail box, I saw a cute letter. To whom is this letter for? To me!! I was kind of surprised to receive such a cute letter. Who sent me this letter??

Oo, it’s from World Vision Indonesia. Ei, wait a minute? Don’t tell me it’s my 5 yrs old sponsored child, Jirot wrote me a letter? Wow, cool!! But then again, 5 yrs old knows how to write letter ar? So geng?? hehe…

I don’t really understand what he wrote although I read it for a few times. Then only I saw there’s a translated version in English at the bottom. Oo, he’s trying to introduce his daughter to me, and tell me what’s her hobby!

Hmm, should i write back and tell her my hobby, which is sleep & eat? hehe…

Finally after 2 weeks submitting application to sponsor a child @ World Vision, I received a snail mail from them. I’m very excited, I’m going to get a photo of my sponsored child. A boy or a girl? From Indonesia or China or Thailand or Vietnam?

Actually I wanted to sponsor a child long long time ago but I thought it will costs a lot and I’m afraid I might not be able to take up this commitment until I finally go check out their website. We only need to pay Rm 50 per month to sponsor a kid, RM 50 per month to us probably is nothing (go out makan RM 50 already gone lar..) but to them, it’s a lot. This RM 50 per month can probably changed their life!! They can have education, a better environment and improve the health status of the community.

Think about it, check out World Vision and I’m sure you will want to sponsor a child when you see how RM 50 can make a difference for them.
