My wife actually strolled around the street stalls checking on pricing and after walking few “push cart” stalls, a young store worker came walking to us and asked my wife to stop checking for prices. She told me that she is sent by her lady supervisor (which happen to be the previous shop attendant). She told us they have already monopolized the handbags market in Xi Meng Ting and they have 12 stores. She is quite unfriendly and talked loudly about we are wasting their time checking prices and many people was looking at the commotion when she spoke to us. We just acknowledged and walked off and continue to shop. What’s next??

Haha. Bingo. I actually thank her in my mind for teaching us how to shop smartly in Xi Meng Ting. We avoid all the “Push Cart” stores and go to the actual shop. (Shop that have a company name and located inside actual building. There are still many handbags shop. After walking 2 shops, my wife found the same handbag at a cheaper price. I also bought another 2 from the same shop. I asked the shopkeeper if they have other branches around but they replied “No”. So this is just another tactic I would like to share with friends here – To buy from actual shops rather than Push Cart stores and do not believe items prices are monopolized in Xi Meng Ting.
