To me, CNY means a lot of work, a lot of money spent, a lot of travelling and hot hot weather. Did you realize the weather is sooo hot these few days? Of cos, besides all that, CNY also means a lot of food, a lot of gambling, a lot of gatherings, everything also got its pros and cons mar, right?

Anyway, just like to wish all of you here, a very happy and prosperous Chinese New Year. The year of tiger seems like a good year to me.. well, I don’t know lar, according to the book lar.. hehe.. so hopefully it’s really like what mentioned in the book.

For those who balik kampung, wish you’ll be able to avoid jam (impossible!!) and have a safe trip back. Eat more, sleep more, gamble more.. :p

The car park was full, and the guard redirected all the cars to park at the outdoor car park. However, we somehow managed to park indoor, there’s a small road that leads to the indoor car park and we were very lucky to get a parking place in less than 5 minutes.

There were a lot of ppl, inside the shops, outside the shops, basically everywhere! I saw some nice clothes and wanted to try it on but when I looked at the queue in front of the fitting room, I decided to give up. All shops have long queue in front of their fitting rooms and cashier, and you need to squeeze like sardine when you go see the clothes. Oh my, how to shop like that? Totally no mood d…

So I ended up not buying anything and this year i got no new clothes to wear. ya, not even one.. hehe, actually it’s no big deal but then when I open up my wardrobe, I realized all I have is black, grey, and blue colors clothes. What do you think? Should I wear blue, or black or grey during the first day of cny?

For those who still wish to shop for cny stuff this weekend? I wish you luck lar, I bet this weekend will be worst than last weekend as this is the last weekend before CNY….

We spent the whole night eating, drinking and ‘dry swimming’ (play mahjong lar. hehe…) and the next morning, we decided to go out yum cha (at the tea farm). Nobody wants to follow us out as they know it will be super jam (lot’s of ppl took the opportunity to go Cameron during the long holidays). They were right, the town is full or ppl!

There are a few tea farms in Cameron but the largest and the nicest one is the BOH tea farm. Of cos, it’s also more far away from town! It took us about 30 to 40 minutes to reach the entrance of the tea farm (there were a lot of cars) and took us another 15 minutes to get to the BOH tea farm. The road to the tea farm is pretty small and some parts only enough for 1 car to go thru.

We will need to climb up there. There are two ways to go up, one is the recommended way, hehe, nice road but a bit far, and the other way is the closer way, have to go thru the muddy road and also the tea farm. We decided to take the short cut, the mud road. 10 minutes later, after all the turning, jumping, climbing unequal stairs (some big, some high, so wide, some small), we’re there!!

the souvenir shop, i didn’t buy anything there, cos seems like we’re able to get everything from the supermarket, and cheaper too..

After a short visit at the museum and souvenir shop, we went to the yum cha place to have a cup of tea!! It quite nice to yum cha up there, with a cup of hot tea in your hand, you can enjoy the nice scenery + cool weather. NICE!!

We were there for about 1 to 2 hours, chit chat, enjoying the view and the weather, then we went back. On our way down, we decided to take the recommended way, hehe, which is definitely nicer to walk. and guess what, it’s not that far also, as compared to the muddy road.. :p

So how’s my CNY? How’s my holidays? Well, I did a lot of travelling (to south then to north), a lot of eating (until got diarrehea. haha.. ok lar, there’s nothing to do with eating a lot, it happened to the whole family, we ate some overnight curry.. luckily not too serious, nobody went to see the doctor.. can treat it as ‘qing cheong wai’ hehe..), a lot of money spent and a lot of sleep!! So overall, I enjoyed my CNY and my long leaves! (You can see how enjoy I am until I totally forget about my blogs, today is the 9 day of CNY and my blog still remained unchanged. hehe…)

A lot of people already started to work yesterday but I believe there are still a portion of people will start work tomorrow. What about you? Have you start work yet? How’s your CNY?

So after weeks of BEGGING bank and shopping complexes for ang pow packets, hehe, here’s what I’ve collected..

from Jusco

So far they are the most generous one.. I bought RM 100+ from them and they gave me 6 packets.. but..not so nice lar, their design. hehe.. there are 6 ang pows in a packet.

from One Utama.

One Utama very stingy lar, each customer only entitled to change once if you purchase RM 50 and above. If you are their one card member, you can get 2 packets, else you will only get one packet like me (I went shopping twice so I got two packets). There are only 5 ang pows in one packet. Design so so only lar..

Hong Leong Bank

I got the most from Hong Leong Bank cos I changed new notes there. Their design…ok ok lar..not too bad…

wah, this one ugly man… hehe.. dark pink…oh my god.. They gave me 3 packets when I went to buy some CNY stuff recently, each packet only 4 angpows..

from Padini

got 2 packets from padini, each packet consists of 10 ang pows. Hmm, not bad lar, simple..but i prefer the big type of ang pow, no need to fold money mar..

I got this from my sister and I love the quality of the ang pow. It’s not the shiny type, and it’s thick. It will be hard to guess how much money inside, wuahahahahaha…not bad hor..

I got 2 packets from Cold Storage. Not sure why they want to make it white/badge color, Chinese New Year mar, a lot of people prefer RED!!

That’s all I have..hehe.. I prefer the Martell one, the quality is nice, it’s thick and it looks simple.. What about you? Which one nicer?

So I told myself, nvm lar, today is Thursday, one more day and the world looks so beautiful again.. (forgive me lar, brain still half sleeping.. hehe..) but a minute later, I realized today is not even Thursday yet, today is only Wednesday…….arggggggg….

~sigh… since it’s wednesday, let’s sleep for another 10 minutes…

Although it’s already 10pm but there were still a lot of people. Normally there will be a lot of trolley at the side but that day, there were no trolleys available! No trolley how to buy things ar? All the things I plan to buy are quite heavy..Don’t say trolley lar, basket also hard to find, I looked here and there and finally i managed to find ONE basket. ~sigh…

Due to no trolley, I didn’t get to buy things like drinks, mandarin oranges and can food… That means I will need to go shop again these few days and I believe, the nearer the CNY, these places will become more crowded!
