Facebook vs Blogs

If you are a frequent reader of my blog (last time lar, now i don’t think got ppl visit my blog everyday anymore.. :p) you probably noticed that I did not update that often lately, at least not as often as last time. Ya, a lot of stuff happened after CNY, personal stuff, work stuff, I don’t even have time to update my JY Shops too.

Not only no time updating my own blog, I also didn’t have time to blog hop, to go read other people’s blog. That day I visited a few blogs that I used to visit and noticed that they also didn’t update that often anymore. So it’s not just me, everyone seems to update their blogs less.

What is the reason? Is it because of Facebook? or Twitter? Do you have a blog? Did you realize that you actually update your blog lesser than previous? Do you think facebook is a better place to replace the blogs?

I found my primary school friends after so many years!!

Few months back, I joined my primary school group in facebook. Then one night (few weeks ago), I went browsing at the group and decided to leave a wall post to see is there anyone in the group studied at my class (we were in the same class from standard 1 to 6) and graduated the same year as me. I got no reply until few days ago, I received an email saying that there’s someone commented on my wall post in that group.

And the next thing I know, I found 3 primary school friends which I haven’t contacted for like so many years!! Facebook is amazing, we never met, or talk, or keep in touch and yet after so many years, we still able to find each other through facebook. Superb right?

It was kind of fun to catch up again, I think my memory is still quite good cos I still can remember their names. hahahahahhaa.. perhaps mahjong helps? :p Anyway, I think I won’t be able to recognize them even if we bumped into each other because all of us have changed a lot! Most of them already married and with kids!

Have you tried finding your primary school friends that you’ve lost contact through facebook? Try it out, you might be able to find back ALL your long lost friends!

Will you add your boss as a friend in Facebook?

A friend asked me this, will you add your current employer as a friend in Facebook? I think for a while and then answered, NO, but I don’t mind adding my ex employers.

Why not current boss? Well, you know, sometimes you will complaint about your job, or your salary and blah blah blah and if you happened to put that on your facebook, and if your boss happened to be in your list, and if your boss happened to see these complaints.. then not so good mar..right?

What about you? Will you add your current boss as a Friend in your Facebook?

p/s: don’t play play I just found out my boss and managers also got facebook. hehe..
