C ~ caller

J: Hello
C: Hello, may I speak to Joyce please?
J: Yes, speaking..
C: erm, Joyce Wong?
J: huh? oh, I’m Joyce but not Joyce Wong.
C: Oh..
J: You are?
C: Oh, I’m Wilson…
J: (I do know a few Wilson..) Wilson?
C: I’m Wilson xxx…
J: erm, sorry, I can’t recall any Wilson xxx…
C: I think we probably know each other but …
J: haha.. ya.. anyway, I’m not the Joyce you’re looking for..
C: Ok..

Sometimes common names can really create confusion right? There’s one time I wanted to call a friend named Kok Keong, then when I went through my phone contact list, I realised I have 3 Kok Keong stored, all with the same surname Tan. hahahahahahahaa..

Well well well, luckily my surname is not very common although Joyce is quite a common name.. hehehehehe…

I bought something online last week and the sender told me it should reached me by yesterday. Since the sender is from KL, I requested him to send to FL’s office, which I think it’s nearer. hehe.. Anyway, I emailed the sender FL’s office add, company name and requested him to attention it to FL, instead of me.

So yesterday around 2pm, I received a call from a lady, she asked me whether am I waiting for a parcel which suppose to deliver to xx address or not. I said yes, then she said now the parcel is with her. I’m confused, not very sure what she’s trying to tell me. So I asked her, ‘may I know who’s on the line’? and she said, oh.. i’m joyce too. hahahaha.. in case you guys don’t know, me, the blog owner is also joyce.

Anyway, she further explained that the parcel is attention to joyce, and the sender did not mention the company name, so the delivery guy just walked into the first company on that floor and so ‘ngam’ that company also got a gal named ‘joyce’. wuahahahahahaahahahah and since she thought it’s for her, she opened it up and then realized she might open a parcel which does not belongs to her. After that, she called the no written on the parcel and that’s how she gets me.

What a small world ya, and what a common name we have. ahahaha, luckily joyce is not greedy (this applies to me too. hehe…) else I can say bye bye to my parcel lor…..
