I just finished gift exchange yesterday in the office and guess what? I got a mug again. I got mug continuously for the second or third year. Well, don’t get me wrong, those mugs I got are quite nice, good quality, and cute, but the thing is, I seriously don’t need so many mugs at home. haha… Some friends told me, next year, if got gift exchange again, wrap the mug and give it out lar.. But I think I won’t do that lar, what if the present goes to the person that gave me this mug in the first place? then not so good mar, right or not?

I think we should be more creative in terms of gift, there’s really a lot of “good” gifts out there that is really useful and cheap too. For eg, a colleague of mine bought a bottle of coffee powder as christmas gift, I think it’s good. Another colleague that loves coffee got it, I bet he’s happy with it. And one thing is that, ppl won’t be able to easily guess wat you give, like my present.. before I open it, I already know it’s a cup, then no fun d mar…right?

So I hope for those who is going to have gift exchange later, perhaps, spend a little time to get something more useful, if you want a big gift, perhaps can consider toilet rolls? hahahahahahaha.. just don’t let the person who gets the gift know that it’s from you!

Today I met a friend for lunch, well.. yes, this is another friend interested in online business also. She asked me a lot of stuff like how to set up, how things work and etc.. I am no expert since I only have 3 months experience so I just tell her what I know.. what she plan to sell? tea leaves, yes, chinese tea… hehe…

Even my comp also starting an online business soon…really no eye see….so many competitors.. how to survive ar? I can’t just give my car presents and not giving myself presents mar so.. during the long holidays, I went shopping too.. hehe.. At first I thought there won’t be much ppl at the shopping mall cos all balik kampung but I was wrong!! It was packed, had a hard time to find a parking space too… Bought quite a lot of stuff, got my Wii fixed/upgraded…Oh ya, we also went to the cinema and watched the Final Destination 4, for those who not yet watch, I strongly suggest that you guys should skip this movie.. it’s a total waste of money and time..

Besides shopping, I did meet up with a few friends, eat and sleep and eat and sleep during the long holidays. oh…I missed those days.. :p

Bookfest @ KL Convention Centre

We were there around 3pm+, the weather was very nice. We wanted to park at the car park beside KLCC, there were plenty of empty spaces there but somehow the car park guard directed us to go park at the opposite car park. I wonder why…. We paid RM 7 for the car park.

We were only allowed to enter KLCC after they checked our temperature. They will stick a round pink sticker on your shirt to indicate that your temperature is checked and OK to enter. You can also request for a mask from them too.

I was kind of disappointed with the bookfest as it appears to be much smaller than last year. It’s getting smaller every year!! It was not too crowded, a lot of ppl wearing masks. We spent about 2 hours+ there and left around 6pm. Although the bookfest is small, we still managed to find most of the books we wanted to buy.

Here’s the books we bought.. oh ya, I bought these 2 recycle shopping bags from Fo Guang Shan’s booth (佛光山), it’s nice and quality very good wor…

RM 5 each, according to the person, this bag can carry up to 5kg wor..

tah-dah!! altogether 22 books!!

total RM 437.25 spent!!

Besides books, we also bought 5 CDs which costs us RM 100+..

I’m not sure is this the mascot of Xi Men Ting but this is the first thing I saw when I stepped out from the MRT station. hehe.. and opposite of the MRT station is this..

I must go check it out later! Apparently not every Eslite book store open 24 hours, only certain branch..

It was around 7pm when we reached there. Although it was a rainy Monday but still we can see lot’s of people there, mostly youngsters.

There are shops everywhere, on your left, on your right, in front of you, at the back of you. We really have no idea which direction to start first. Finally we decided to go straight.. hehe….

It looks a lot like Hong Kong’s Mongkok (旺角), except it’s bigger. I think if we’re here on a weekend, we’ll get to see more stuff.

We walked and walked and walked and suddenly we smell something nice! What’s that? We walked further and saw a big crowd in front of a shop. Oo, no wonder, it’s the famous A Zhong Mi Sua (阿宗麵線)! Must try must try!! I thought I won’t like it but I LOVE it.

After walking for a few hours, our feet were so tired! we wanted to find a place to sit but we can’t find one. There’s also no place to sit when we had the A Zhong Mi Sua. At last we decided to stop and have coffee, not because we’re thirsty, just because we need to sit…Luckily, the coffee at PenLand (半岛咖啡) is quite nice. hehe..

I actually visited Xi Men Ting twice, first visit, on Monday night, which is the first day of my Taiwan trip, and then second visit on Friday night, which is the last night of my trip in Taiwan. Why I came here twice? For one, I love shopping here, and secondly … I missed the A Zhong Mi Sua (阿宗麵線). hehe..

This is opposite the MRT station, across the street. See the crowd? MayDay (五月天) is having a small concert here on Friday night. I didn’t get to see them lar, too many ppl.. I can hear them singing only.. hehe..

I bought a few clothes, for myself, for family and bought some cute cute stuff like hair pins, clips, earrings and etc at Xi Men Ting (西门町). Things there are not cheap too..We went back to our hotel after this and I had the very first bowl of beef noodle which taste great for my dinner! I’m not sure is it because of the cold weather (excuse.. excuse, it’s just an excuse!! hehe..), after dinner, we had snacks some more (Tempura 甜不辣 and Fried fish). What a day…..

She kept following me which I’m ok, but when I saw her black face, I really feel annoyed. Hey please, don’t show me this black face lar, I’m not your enemy..ok? And of cos, I did not buy anything from that shop and I told myself, if one day I got a chance to become a boss, I will make sure I won’t hire these kind of staff. It’s like you paid them to get rid of your potential customers!

On the other hand, I had been served by some really polite staff. They will follow you every where you go and when you focus on something, immediately they will want you to try it on. I’m just looking at it, not even touching it! I do feel they are a bit pushy..which makes me feels like walking out of the shop too..hehe….

Not easy to serve me? Well, maybe.. hehe..customers are always right mar.. So..please bear with me..

FL was not very happy being called “Uncle” but he still donated. He said he’s ok to be called uncle but how come the gal call me “jie jie” instead of auntie? So unfair!!!

wuahahahhaahah, I think the gal’s mum did a very good job in teacher her, if see gal, no matter what age also must call “jie jie”. hehe..

Although it’s already 10pm but there were still a lot of people. Normally there will be a lot of trolley at the side but that day, there were no trolleys available! No trolley how to buy things ar? All the things I plan to buy are quite heavy..Don’t say trolley lar, basket also hard to find, I looked here and there and finally i managed to find ONE basket. ~sigh…

Due to no trolley, I didn’t get to buy things like drinks, mandarin oranges and can food… That means I will need to go shop again these few days and I believe, the nearer the CNY, these places will become more crowded!
